Fall Fun

This past weekend marked our first official fall weather weekend, and we celebrated with all the fun fall pastimes. On Saturday, we went to the Kohns' house for a bonfire and chili dump. I know "chili dump" sounds questionable, but it actually is a lot of fun. Each couple brings their own batch of chili, and then they are all combined into one pot. In essence, the chili is dumped. Ciarra had all the fixin's to top off the chili, along with corn bread muffins and s'mores for dessert. We enjoyed a nice evening sitting on hay bales around the fire with all our friends. On Sunday we worked on carving our pumpkins for Halloween. Lily helped scoop out the insides. She mostly just held the scoop, but she did decide to taste what came out of the pumpkin, and the pictures below show her reaction to that. While I am not necessarily looking forward to the winter weather, I do love the changing colors and crisp fall air that we enjoyed this past weekend.

What is that?

Cheese!!!
