Grass Stains

Finally, after days of cold and icky weather we had a nice weekend. On Saturday, Daddy went to Naperville to play volleyball with his buddies, leaving Lily and I to play. In the morning, Ciarra was so nice to come over and watch Lily while I went to pilates with Mimi. After pilates, Ciarra, Lily, and I made our way to downtown Bloomington for the first farmer's market of the summer. Unfortunately, Lily was not really in the mood to check out the local goods, so our trip did not last long. Not surprisingly, she fell asleep in the car on the way home. We dropped Ciarra off and I headed straight for Mimi and Papa's hoping that Lily would continue her slumber long enough for me to relax in the sun for a few minutes. Thankfully, I got her inside and on the family room couch and I got changed and out in the sun very quickly. It was the first day that I really got to enjoy their new pool. It was so nice! Lily took a long nap and I floated in the pool with Mimi. After her nap she came out and enjoyed the pool as well. She thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the pool deck and pulling helicopters out of the trap. After swimming, Lily sat inside with Papa and watched the Cubs game while I was able to continue to enjoy the sun. Thanks, Papa!

Sunday was not a day of rest at our house. After a few morning errands, Jeff got to work on mowing the grass, trimming bushes and trees, and cleaning gutters. Inside, Lily and I played and made lunch. After lunch we went outside and played in the backyard (pictured above). She loved it. She especially loved playing with and breaking sticks. As you can see, Buster wanted to share sticks with her as well.
It wasn't the easiest weekend with Lily, as she is getting more teeth. She was in a fairly good mood for most of the time, but she definitely had her moments...including a premature departure from the farmer's market and one from meeting Chris, Beni, and Olivia for ice cream last night. It has also made her bed time a lot later, as she is fighting off going to bed. She did sleep pretty well last night, minus her short time with us at 3:30 a.m. for more Tylenol and some TLC. When she returned to bed, she stayed there until 7:30 a.m., which was great. Hopefully, the pain from those new teeth will go away soon. She now has four top front teeth and will have four bottom front teeth by the end of the week and two molars popping through in the back.
BABY UPDATE:
Nothing new to report. I am 23 weeks along, feeling good, looking bigger, and on track for my due date. No name for her yet, but I think we are getting closer. :)

As you can see, Lily and Keaton have a great time together fighting over...I mean, sharing, toys. In the past week Lily has made close friends with both Keaton and Dalton by laying big kisses on them when they have played together. Last night we all met at Shirk for our Wee Swim class, but unfortunately the water was way too cold for the babies and the baby mamas. So we moved the class to Mimi and Papa's pool. Papa had the heat turned up, and it turned out to be a lot of fun. The Shirk pool is always a good time, but it was nice to not have blue lips for once. When the kids were done swimming, my family helped us by making an assembly line to get the kiddos out of the pool and into the house to get warmed up and jammied for the night. It was so cute to have them all bundled up in blankets and towels. Hopefully, the weather outside will start to cooperate soon so we can take the kids swimming again...minus the goose bumps that followed.

At the end of April Jeff and I had our first trip away from Lillers. Lily stayed the weekend at Mimi and Papa's while Jeff, Judy, Nick, and I went to Ft. Myers for Harp's wedding. The wedding was on Friday night and we had all day on Saturday at the beach with all our friends. While I did miss Lily, it was nice to be able to enjoy the beautiful weather and beach. The wedding was great. The weather was perfect, and the wedding was totally Jill and Harp. From the beach to the sunglasses to the music and the reception, it was totally them. I loved it.
Thanks for getting married in such a beautiful place!

BABY UPDATE:
I am now 22 weeks along and still feeling good. I had another sonogram this week so they could get a good picture of the spine because she wasn't in the right position for one the first time. Luckily, this time she was in the perfect spot and everything checked out great. She did spin around so we could see her little mouth and nose pop out. Just like her sister, she quickly put her hands up to her mouth like a little boxer. So we didn't get a good picture. After the sono I had my regular check-up and I checked out fine as well. Right as Dr. Thorton asked me if the baby was kicking and moving a lot, the baby decided to show her by kicking the Doppler she had placed on my belly to hear her heartbeat. I think this baby kicks more than Lily did, which is hard to imagine.

Also, thank you to everyone who voted on our name poll. At this point, we haven't really made any firm decisions on this one's name. We go back and forth on a few and then we add one here and there. So we will see what happens. She may just have to be named after she arrives. I can't wait to see her!
