Big Girl

This month Lily has grown up so much, and in the last week alone we have had some major developments in the big girl department. Right before we went to Florida I had started to work a little bit on potty training. If she looked like she needed to go, I would put her on her training potty or talk about it with her. I really hadn't pushed it much at all. However, something stuck. When we were in Florida she decided she would start telling us when she had to go number 2. It continued even on our drive home. Now about 3 weeks later Lily has been diaper free for about a week. I even have had her wear her underwear for naps, and she has done great! I can't believe it! In addition to being potty trained she has also moved to a big girl bed. For about a week she was waking up and not sleeping well, and we really could not figure out the cause. On a whim, we decided that maybe the big girl in training just needed some more space to spread out. So we put her in the guest room "big girl bed" and that has seemed to solve the problem. She really has grown up so much...now she just needs to grow some hair!

Easter and Greek Easter

We celebrated Easter Sunday at Mimi and Papa's house with a yummy traditional Easter feast. We totally stuffed ourselves and ended up taking a nap with the babies when we got home. After our nap we went back for leftovers and re-stuffing.

For Greek Easter we traveled to Grandma and Papou's house and had a lot of fun dying Easter eggs and playing Wii Fit. After lots of laughing and visiting, we went to Aunt Stella's restaurant for the extended family Greek Easter meal. The food and company were wonderful. Unfortunately, the babies got pretty tired so we were not able to stay for dessert, but Aunt Stella made sure we did not leave empty handed.

Clint Head

One of Lily's favorite people is now, literally, a figurehead in our house. Clint is really one of Lily's favorite buddies, and he didn't want her to forget it either. So he gifted us a large cutout of his face from his surprise birthday party. It's the gift that keeps on giving. Thanks, Clint!

My Ella, 7 Months

My sweet baby is growing up so fast. I can't believe she is already 7 months old! She still giggles and smiles all the time and loves to snuggle her face into my shoulder. She is sitting up on her own very well and babbling a lot more. She has started to enjoy biter biscuits and baby food. She made quick work of a whole container of bananas last night. Over vacation she lovingly acquired the nickname of P-Dunk and it has kind of stuck. My grandma had been calling her that for awhile and we really did not know where it came from or why she called her that, but we all started using it. When we got home my mom asked my grandma where she got the name from, and she said she really didn't know. So it's totally arbitrary, but we all like it. :)
