Swingin' Memorial Day Weekend

Lily had a very nice Memorial Day Weekend, including lots of swinging on our porch swing, as well as a trip on Sunday to Elgin (and ultimately Crystal Lake) for a Mavros family picnic/party. She was very happy for most of the time up north, though Mom had to wrestle her down for a small nap at one point late in the day. Luckily for us, she rides well (translation: sleeps) in the car, which made the return trip Sunday night an enjoyable experience.

Lily is enamored with the next door neighbor's beautiful lawn decorations.

Clearly, having toys tethered to you is great fun.

Lily loves to stand (with a little assistance from Dad) and hear people say "You're a BIG girl!"

Someone might be cutting teeth because she loves her fingers lately.

It's fun to be outside, now that the weather has gotten nicer!

Walks and Rolls

Now that the weather is so nice we have been taking evening walks with the little one. On this particular night, instead of the stroller, Lily traveled by carrier around the block. She enjoyed visiting all her neighborhood friends, including Mrs. Middleton across the street who lovingly calls her Lilybelle. Also, this week marks Lily's first time rolling over. She was on our bed reaching for her mom and, as a result, she turned. She was very surprised and as of this blog entry has yet to duplicate it. She does love to roll to her side and kick around, unfortunately she only needs to get to her side in order to view the television. Once the TV is in view she no longer sees a need to roll for us.
