Long walks through the neighborhood, sitting on the porch, and playing with rocks. Life is good :)
Father's Day this year was not the prettiest of summer days, but we wanted to do something as a family that dad would enjoy. So we hooked up the bike buggy and took a small trip in the rain around the neighborhood. Ella loved her first go in the buggy, and took even greater joy in bugging her sister. We were pleasantly surprised with how much Lily liked wearing her helmet and taking a ride, as last year at this time she wasn't really fond of any of it. Lily and dad have actually taken several more rides together following Father's Day, and we are looking forward to Ella getting a little bigger so she can go on longer rides as well.

Ella will be 9 months old this week. I can't believe how fast she is growing up and changing. She still has a sweet disposition and loves to give shy little smiles. This week she has started waving and gets really excited when we wave back. She isn't really mobile yet, but can make her way to an object if she really really wants it. She is such a cuddly little baby and I love that I am able to be home with her all day and kiss her cute chubby cheeks.

Lily is now almost 2 and 1/2 years old! This evening she got packed and dressed up to go to Mimi and Papa's to spend the night. She looked so cute and grown-up with her backpack on and her little ponytail ( yes, we really were able to make a little pony). Jeff and I both actually got a little choked up as she walked over to the door. I can't imagine how sad I will be on her first day of school. I am pretty sure I will shed some tears that day. :)
